I vaguely remember some of this type of farm equipment. I grew up on the Ohio River and we had two large farms.

Interesting, My father used horses until WWII and we used horses for many tasks (Besides the obvious herding etc.) on the ranch into the early 1970's.

I remember my grandparents using oxen for plowing on their farm back in S. Africa.

That had to be really something to see. I obviously never saw my father using the horses but I did ride the last surviving one, ol' Dolly for several years until she died.

That brings back memories, we used belt driven equipment back in the 40's. we had a old Farmell steel wheeled with a crank (no starter). Thanks for posting.
