I think Liberals have an idea. The idea is that it is a piece of parchment that seems to get in the way of doing whatever they want to do.

She should have been allowed to speak. The students would then have had a lesson in how hate can destroy a person, a city, a country.

The Dean remarks are not about what liberals know or don't know. In the matter of Coulter's incendiary speech, it's words are protected by the First Anendment BUT that anendment does not shield her from the consequences of those words. The commonly made point is does the First Amendment allow one to shout FIRE in a crowded theatre; the answer is Yes but you will be liable for damages that transpire. The point is that every coin has two sides.

Coulter herself has said, if they aren't outraged with your opening remarks, you're not trying hard enough.

What people like Dean do not understand the freedom of speech IS THE FREEDOM TO OFFEND. That is the main purpose of free speech. If all speech is limited to whatever the establishment says it should be it is not free speech.

For liberals, any speech that is contrary to their agenda they have labeled "hate Speech" and they will do anything to prevent anyone from hearing it.

Don't bother, she's not intelligent enough to understand that concept.

One has only to read some of the comments and posts in the Attic to learn that hate speech must indeed be protected by the First Amendment.

Not really. The First Amendment prohibits the government from censoring free speech. UHH is a privately owned website, and would be well within their rights to censor whatever they want.

That is something quite a few people do not know or believe.
