These are all good. I have my iPhone linked to my Flickr account so that anything that I take with the phone gets automatically uploaded to Flickr into a private gallery. From there I can choose to d/l to my computer or share in a public gallery. Saving the images is an automatic process - no thought or interaction (or computer, even) required.

If you are a Lightroom CC user, it can be set up so every phone photo is in the Library module on your computer. Choices include be able to do it with our mobile data plan or only when you have a WiFi link.

If you have a later mac computer your can transfer pictures between devices via airdrop. I often use it to transfer pics from my iphone to my laptop or mini mac or laptop to mini mac or vice versa it works either way. The devices have to be within about 30 feet of each other.

Oh, and Flickr gives you up to 1 TB of storage free of charge. Older accounts, such as mine, gave you unlimited space and bandwidth for $25/yr.

The best and fastest way is to download an app called PhotoSync onto your iPhone and your computer. Then select the app and choose the images on your iPhone that you want to transfer. Initiate the transfer command. Then start the app on your computer and they will be transferred. The learning curve for the app is about 5 minutes for most people that I've trained with this. It's the best app out there for transferring images from one device to another

Must be dozens of different ways. DropBox, iCloud, iTunes backup, Photos App, Image Capture App, Lightroom, Bridge...

Those are Mac options. Windows options are similar.

I prefer to tether my iPhone to my iMac and use Image Capture to download them to a specific final resting folder where I can find them from Lightroom. But I also have my iPhone set to transfer all images to iCloud as I record them. Options...

Another free App is "Photo Transfer". Install on both computer and phone and away you go. Very straightforward.

On Android your phone or tablet can be "seen" as a storage device (like a thumb drive). Then it's just drag and drop from the DCIM folder to whatever folder on the computer you want. IDK if iPhone is similar.
