We had about a week of solid rain, but between the torrential downpours last week the skies cleared and the sun came out for about 20 minutes - went out to enjoy the brief respite...it started up again soon after. :)

The daisy is really, really nice. I like the way the rain drops reflect, almost 3-D.Good job.

Thanks - I love daisy's, such a simple flower, but I am always drawn to them. Appreciate the look and the comment! :)

Thanks Dave! My husband was teasing me that instead of being out with my camera during the 20 minute break in the downpour I probably should have been at work building an ark. :) I told him I have my priorities, pictures first!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks Wahawk! It finally stopped raining for a few days so my goal tonight is to go and get some shots of this field we have around that is entirely daisy's. I have many shots of it over the years, but can't seem to stay away and go back every June when they are in bloom. :D

The daisy shot is good; the background is a SLIGHT bit busier than I'd have liked but that's the breaks.

You did a good job exposing it....no big blow outs...lots of detail....very nice.

thanks rpavich! The background on the daisy....I did try in PP to take it all out and put the daisy on a plain black background, but it just didn't look right. I decided that I would stay with what Mother Nature provided for this one :-D Thank you for looking and commenting!

No...I didn't mean to change the background but only to separate the daisy from the background by distance; i.e. get closer to the daisy, open the f/stop more and thereby blur the background more.

If the daisy is too close to the background to blur it, then pick the daisy and move it further away from the background OR...put something behind it...

There are many ways to get 'er done in camera...think about what you are shooting and see if you can make one or two slight modifications to help the shot.

Here is a good video by Bryan Peterson showing how to change the background with only a slight change in camera perspective.

Please don't take this as harsh criticism...it was only my preference...

Ahhhhh - I see what you are saying, makes sense. And not taken as harsh criticism at all, I really do appreciate feedback and insight from others. It makes you look at things in a different way, and that's always good. Thank you for sharing!

And don't forget to supply ample cheese for your fur-baby today :)

Lol....when I woke up he was on his back on my pillow next to me snoring away.

He's been on a tear ever since we got up....running around and daring me to chase him with:

my sock

a magazine

his nylon bone

a software box (he was unable to disloge from the shelf)

what a handful!

He didn't get any cheese but he got 3 treats for that!

I have two - a 98 lb Lab and a 1.5 lb Yorky....guess who rules the roost? Yup, the Yorky. Her name is Vivian and she is a princess. Max, the Lab, is a big goofy bundle of energy and when you were explaining your morning (the sock, the bone - chase me - chase me) you captured a morning in our house with Max.

Wouldn't trade it for the world.
