I just set up new Canon Pixma 100 printer, and new Spyder Pro callibrator on my retina display monitor. It told me to put on default settings before loading. Should i now reset monitor to RGB? I use LR to print from with varied success. Found it best to use pri ter canle vs. Wifi. Any tips?

Use "Soft Proofing" prior to printing (LR and/or Photoshop)
1) set monitor controls to FACTORY defaults.
2) calibrate and profile with Spyder5Pro.
3) DO NOT TOUCH any monitor controls after that, unless and until you re-calibrate and re-profile.
Use Canon inks and Canon photo papers, so you use the right paper profiles. If you use third party paper, download and install the paper profiles from the manufacturer's or dealer's web site.
ICC color management is a SYSTEM:
White Balance must be correct at the camera, or set correctly in post processing of raw images.
Camera Profile must be set correctly, in camera-generated JPEGs, or on exporting adjusted images during post-processing.
Your printer driver and software settings must be set to avoid the dreaded "double profiling" conflict.
Unless you have an advanced state of knowledge, stick with sRGB as the camera JPEG profile and the exported file profile.
