when my husband's mother died at the age of 90,
we moved these little pink perennials from her yard
to ours. does anyone know what they are? do you
see the lizard in one of the pictures...or am I just nuts? if it is a lizard,
I didn't notice it while photographing the flowers.

Merry, beautiful shots of one of my favorite wildflowers - they are cultivated also. I'm pretty sure it is a variety of Oxalis. They have leaves resembling Shamrocks.

Nice shots.
(the one flower does look like a lizard, but I think it's an unopened flower.)

I have no idea what they are, but you've done a first-rate job of photographing them. And, no lizard for me.

The composition and light of #3 are just beautiful. The curve of the stem, simple background, one imperfect (folded) petal - so appealing. What a lovely tribute to your mother-in-law's memory!

I like the ones with the blurred backgrounds.
Lovely.

I don't know what they are, Merry... but they are beautiful and I love your shots and even better on the DL!!! Gorgous color, detail and DOF and what I though was the lizard, might just be a bud.

Very nice MT and a lovely remembrance for your husband. Sorry didn't see the lizard. But it's 11:00 pm and I can hardly see my monitor. LoL.
