Jay collecting for winter.
Wasserberndorf, Bavaria, Germany. A jay collects nuts for winter food store.
The Blue Jay is a fighter plane. In my mind is a video of a 8 year old boy neighbor being chased home screaming as the Blue Jay pecked his head.... The Jay had great control and determination to protect it's young... the boy had gotten too near the nest.
You have a great capture of a bird in flight.. not the easiest type of photo, you have done well. Your photo shows the aerodynamic control system that is a proven model; having been perfected over a few million years. What is your story... the Jay, the nut, and the wing structure ... Not the grass and sky.
I am a crop fanatic... where the Jay has been tells me nothing. Put the Jay at the 1/3 from the right ... the blurred [good] foreground is too much, whack just below the tall stuff, that tells me all I need to know about the grass.... sky? about the same amount above the jay as the Jay is high. ... bring the left side in so as to make the Jay at the right 1/3 mark.

And how long did it take your head to heal?
You don't see many shots of a bird like this. You did a wonderful job.
