Aussie Autumn for Angela - Series 1

A day or so ago AngelaK said she would like to see some shots of an Aussie autumn. I explained there isn't much colour in autumn where I live but further south there is nice colour. These shots are from a few years ago when my wife and I visited Victoria. If any one one living in Victoria's high country or in Tasmania has some autumn colour images please feel frr to add them to this post or start your own for Angela K to view,

John, excellent images. I see you get all the color from down South that we get up here. If I remember correctly, the color is dependent on the minerals that the tree takes up during the growing season. Do I remember correctly? Excellent series.

Thanks Jerry - glad you liked them. Oh yeah!! we are getting relief from the heat alright. In the last 6 weeks we've had 500 ml (19.6") of rain. Have of Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales are under water. Floods seem to always follow droughts in this country. Thanks for looking Jerry.

I haven't got a clue where the colour originates from Greg. I always thought it was just in the species. Trees that were "imported" here from Europe have the same colour here as they have in their native lands. I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment - thank you.

John... these are glorious shots and I just love the colors and reflection you captured on the last shot!!!
It's a shame you can't enjoy these colors every year... it might be worth the move, or at least a yearly visit!!!
