Tamron 16/300 Lens for Canon.
I bought the Tamron 16-300 but was disappointed in the picture quality from 200mm to 300mm. I kept my Nikon 55 - 300 mm lens as it was sharper at all distances, especially the 300mm telephoto. I also had the 16-85 mm lens for the mid distance. If you only have one lens the Tamron 16-300 would be adequate but the long end might be a disappoint to you.
That glass have been on my 7dmk11 since day one and only give it place to my 150-500 sigma when birding at wich time she goes on my 7d as backup

I use this lens on my Canon SL1. Originally bought the 18-55, but wanted more reach, so added the Tammy. When I shoot this camera, I generally mount the Tammy. This camera is sorta a fill in when shooting stuff just for fun, rarely anything in the "keeper" category. My 5D MkIII and now an Oly E-M1 Mk II for "keepers." So, yes, I like the Tammy 18-300.

I have the lens for my 7D II. Very nice lens. I might point out that while the zoom may only be slightly larger than the 18-270, you've also got the extra wide angle, 16, at the front. The combination is what makes this lens so appealing.
Thank you all very much for your response.
