Bought a Canon EF 2x teleconverter extender but it will not fit any of my lenses
What do I need to do to get it to work with what I have. The seller will not take returns
A
List it here on UHH to sell it ......
The manual that should have come with the extender has a list of compatible Canon lenses. You can download it at canon.com.If your lenses are not Canon then you will have to check with the lens manufacturer. If you list your lenses, and which model of the extender you have (II, III) someone here may be able to give you the answer.
What lenses do you have?
I have been looking for a 2X converter for my 70-200 2.8 II, let me know if you decide to sell it.
Thanks
The Canon teleconverter's are not like Tamron or Sigma or other third party teleconverter's, they are specifically designed for certain high end Canon EF zoom and prime lenses only. If the seller didn't disclose this and will not take it back, they tricked you into buying something you can't use. Your options are, sell the teleconverter or acquire a Canon lens it will work on. Also, does the body you intended to use it on have f/8 capable AF? If not, this additionally limits the lenses AF will work on with that extender.
I have a 60D now saving for my 80D

PS Thanks All
You may want to start by picking up a used EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS, a perfect match for that teleconverter.
LOL That would delay me getting my 80D LOL

Don't you think you first have to tell what you have?
It will give you a little softer images
Here are some pictures of the unit. It is used but in excellent condotion
Thanks
PS my ex married name was Finger lol
I purchased the Canon 2X extender shortly after I purchased the 100-400 L series lens. I've only used it on a 'demand' type application, but having it turn my lens into a 800 lens was wonderful. So, for me, it's an 'application' part of my system, and I'm glad I have it.
