I like her lips so I used red flower petals to draw attention to them, and focused the lens on her lips so they would be the sharpest part of the picture.

That's what I was going to say.....the lips.....the lips is where it's at !
Beautifully done, love the setup. I like how you used the rose petals, would have liked to seen the image without them also; wondering if that would have made the lips even more prominent. I love the creativity you present in your images. Thanks for sharing them.

I agree that the lips are, and should be, the focus of the picture, but I think they are a bit too close to the edge of the frame in this cropping. You don't have to follow the rule of thirds to a tee, and I think seeing her nose and eyes might distract from what you are trying to do, but maybe putting the lips just a bit further down would help. Perhaps a silk scarf tied over the eyes and nose (i.e., a bit of the bondage theme that you like) would have allowed you to bring more of the head into the image without distracting from the lips.

I find it confusing.
I think the rose petals make it a little busy and you don't really know where to look. And I hate the lip nail. I may be old-fashioned, but those just do not convey any warm fuzzy feelings for me....

I agree about the "Lip Nail" ; maybe to draw attention away from it a tattoo on each breast: Sweet & Sour?
One of my standard comments for students is, "I'm not sure what you want me to look at." That applies here. When I look at this image, I see two elements: her lips and her breasts. But their relationship is uncertain.
Rather than seeing breasts, I see two "things" (I know what they are, but they seem disconnected from the model.) that almost appear to be suspended at the end of unseen braids. The rose petals, to me at least, look like random splotches of red. I didn't know they were rose petals.
Generally, I love your images. You take chances and push the envelope; in this case you lost me in the vague space that's filled with milk.

Agreed. Three elements make the story.... with out mod [and rose peddles] this is a pseudo cereal abstract. ooops I mean surreal
Agree with Greenwood.
Confusing.
Tan lines do not help.
Very nice. Your choice of where to focus attention is correct. Your method of doing that...very creative.
