When I loaded film into my Minolta X-700 I was playing around with these flowers while still in the pot, they were to be put in the ground the next day, So I brought them in the house set them up on a stand, using a white back drop I wanted to fire a flash (never done this before on a film camera) So I cheated, I got my Sony a7RII out and used it to get the light metering right, shutter speed and all of that good stuff.
then mounted the flash on the camera, the camera on a tripod, I fired away, it was about two weeks later I scanned the negative, It came out better than I would have thought for first time try.
Next I took it into On1 Raw Photo and removed the background and replaced it with a cloud shot I had, after doing some blurring, added some grunge, Dodging, Burning, made it a little darker and all to the back ground, I then merged the layers, then took it to On1 Effect and added my favorite vignette effect called Big Softy. Just Having fun, Just Saying!!!
Having fun is what it's all about, Johnny! And all that playing paid off because this an awesome shot, especially in the download.
