Another old train depot will bite the dust soon. The Alton depot started life with the Chicago and Alton Railroad followed by the Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad. Currently owned by the Union Pacific railroad and used as an Amtrak depot. Union Pacific would sell the depot to your non-profit for $1 according to an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch on 4/2/2017. It is scheduled to be replaced and may be torn down.

Another one bites the Dust, so sad, that passenger railroading has been so desimated since the late 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, and the future does not look any better. Rail travel cannot compete with low priced and swift travel of the Airline industry. I was able to enjoy a enjoyable 3 day rail trip from Pontiac, Mi. to Chicago, then to Washington D.C., then down to DeLand Florida, we enjoyed a Roomette that included all meals, it cost me $800+ for 2 people, that was only a One-Way trip.

Then again, if you are creating a specific mood, feeling, in the image, that you are creating for another person, business, etc., You must strongly understand what they desire the image to be, and strive to create what they are looking for in the image.
