I've been playing around with video files in PSCC but can't seem to find a way to strip the audio off an AVI file. There is a way to add audio but I don't see how to get rid of audio.

I tried that but when I rendered the video, the audio came along with it.

If you can't do this in PSCC, you can do it with the free VLC media player. You can select the first tab and go to save/convert. Under convert select the profile (eg H264+mp3) click on the tools icon to the right of the profile, go to the audio codec tab and uncheck audio. Then convert to a new file name. Your new converted video file will have no audio.

That did remove the audio nicely. Unfortunately it put a green band along the bottom of the picture and a distorted band just above that. I'm trying "Movie" that comes with my Mac. So far it seems as if it will do it but I haven't got it quite right yet.

I have CS 5 ext. and it has full video/audio functionality(everything you can do to a still image, you can do to video as well), but I don't know about the CC version, maybe you need also the CC ext. for this.

Select the clip. Right click and scroll to detach. I think it says detach audio and video or something close to that. Works very nicely. You can now move or delete separately.

The dialog is a bit different now but you sent me in the right direction! Thanks for the tip!

That's too bad. I didn't have any issues with my PC. It must be a problem with the Mac version of VLC.
