Fishing Flies

Just working on my technique. These flies were made by a friend using hair from my dog. Would love to know what you think, and what other people would use for background.

I like image #3 best, because of color contrast between subject and background. I believe that the darker flies would benefit from a much lighter background.
Your Exif info is limited to D5300 with a 90mm macro lens. What aperture are you using? ISO & shutter duration are not as important on a stationary subject.

These were shot at f/16, using a speedlight with diffuser. I wonder why my exif info was incomplete on the download? It shows up in my metadata.
Thanks for your input, and I agree with your comment about the lighter background for the darker fly.

Some post processing programs omit certain info.
