Nostalgia kicks in as I recall the privilege I had of living and working on The Navajo Reservation in the late 70ties. Trips to Monument Valley were highlights forever etched in my memory bank. Fascinating to watch the colors change when a cloud formation passed over, or to start taking shots every 5- 10 minutes as the sun set. Thanks for sharing these awesome pictures.

Places like these and the movies made, back in the day, in Monument Valley is part of what made me move to Arizona... too bad I mostly shoot indoors these days... getting out there is a haul from Phoenix. How easy were permits to get?
