If I'm using my DX Nikon for general purposes I use the Sigma 17-50 f 2.8. I hardly ever use f2.8 so am considering the newest Nikon 18-55 ish for lighter weight. I sold my original long ago.

But most of the time I use my D5600 for wildlife: Nikon 200-500.

Sometimes I travel with only the D5600, in which case I might also bring my Nikon AF-P 70-300.

I have a Nikon 10-24. It takes excellent images but lacks VR. I rarely use it, instead using my Z6 for landscapes with Nikon 16-35. I'm considering the Nikon AF-P 10-20, for its lighter weight, but know I'd only use it infrequently. I can take panos with the Sigma 17-50 for almost same effect.

The only Holy Trinity of Nikon lenses that are legitimate, and appropriately named, are the 14-24 2.8, the 24-70 2.8, and the 70-200 2.8.

The Nikon 17-55 F2.8 is a great lens. The Sigma 50-100 F1.8 is mind blowing and there are YouTube videos by blueskyphotography that compare it side by side with the Nikon 85 F1.8 and 85 F1.4. You can find pictures taken with any lens you are interested in posted on Flickr. As always the Holy Trinity is still Holy and can be bought used at good prices now that newer versions have been released.
