I know. I've seen that more dramatically in this one, where you don't realize until you try to stage it, that the veil is floating in a way which defies gravity.

It looks to me like there are two veils - the hand above her head is draping one upon her head

This is a very beautiful image. The lighting is perfect and the exposure is spot on. I am really enjoying your series. Might I make a suggestion for a future project? I suggest that you recreate Gustave Courbet's "L 'Origine du monde".

Or Picasso's "Nude Desending a Staircase". Good luck with that one.

Very nice, but I do find the discarded lingerie a distraction.

But it's in the painting.

Continuing my "Recreating famous paintings" series...

I enjoy your effort but wish you had convinced your model to roll somewhat away from your camera so her left areola and nipple were not visible, as Modigliani painted it. But then your model's body may not have settled that way.

BTW: Nu couché realized $170,405,000 at auction sale on 9 November 2015, a record for a Modigliani painting and placing it high among the most expensive paintings ever sold. (Wiki)

It was Marcel Duchamps not Pablo Picasso.

You dont think that has been done to death? At the time it was just a crotch shot for shock value. Now its over done and tired.

I like it, including the discarded lingerie. I think shooting it outside in sunlight would have reproduced the lighting effect better, but good effort to replicate the painting.

Great idea and great effort. I have been doing similar but with male nudes, so I won't post any here.

I really like this and recreating an image from a painting can really focus you skills as regards to lighting, pose, props and general feel of the painting.
