I had to go a different direction today due to a race they were running in the canyon where I normally go shooting! And I am not into shooting runners at least with a camera!
I ran a lot, glad we didn't meet up
I have these only once in an Amish park souh of S. Bend. They seemed to love being photographed, great captures
My latest rambles ....Sugarin' is an icon in my life.
These buckets....
and these blue hoses
and their sap winds up in what is called ''an arch''
Which is inside these cabins
And then I drop by with my camera and blow the whole deal

I've got my jug of Ohio real maple syrup, enjoyed the pancake meal we went to in Shalersville. The farm where they make it is in Mantua, Ohio and is called Goodell Family Farm.com on line.

The only flowers we have here are cauliflowers ..and they are pricey
But they are healthy, I like to dip the "trees" in ranch dressing.

Speaking ofspring...these were done Thursday. It is only a beginning. I was raised on Long Island Sound and have salt water in my blood, but up here I sugared for nearly 20 years and have also syrup in my blood and my Pod could no longer do it and every spring we'd ramble and stop off at many cabins and yak a bit with the guys....The sugarers are most always alone during the day and appreciate drivebys, especially who have previously sugared. These were shot in Beauce Co. Quebec
I like these, especially 3.
Nice start to Free Sunday RR. Looks like you got that Sugarin timing down pat. But honestly, you can keep all that snow. Finally Spring has sprung here in Southeast Kansas. Severe spring storms have already wreaked havoc on several communities in my area. Fortunately no one severally injured. Some of the flowers have begun to produce beautifully. I have a few pics from around my place to share today.
Lilac Bush has begun flowering.
