As everyone seems to say the Big Brown Truck came yesterday and delivered a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 20mm f/1.8G ED and a Nikon Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8. What beautiful hunks of glass, cannot wait to try them out this weekend.

Everything comes from gas and this site proves it!

Unfortunately I am at the office and don't think the boss will be happy if I leave early. I think if I tell him I need to go take photos with my new toys the answer would be "NO". The GAS pains have to subside, spent all of my mad money. I still have a few things I want to get but I will have to be patient. Do not think the wife will forego the vacation to Nova Scotia to let me get the other items.

If you leave some of that gas, he'll be happy to let you go early. LOL

Two great lenses. The 20mm prime f1.8 lens has been mentioned on this forum, as being a very reliable, sharp lens. We already know how good the 105mm f2.8 macro is. One of Nikon's top seller. Enjoy both of them.

There are 2 flavors of the Micro-Nikkor 105. Do you have the VR/N version? I would be interested in knowing how you like your 105.
I have been thinking of getting the VR/N version of the 105mm however I am giving some thot to getting rid of all my Nikon gear and going with a Canon 5D Mk IV with the Canon 24-105 IS lens. So I really don't want to spend any more $$ on Nikon stuff. ~FiddleMaker

No, don't do that. Lots of great photo ops in Nova Scotia. After you show your wife your pics from your trip, she might be more agreeable to some more equipment. Or not! Enjoy your new lenses, Jon.

I heard "Beeno" works! Maybe it would clear up all these brown truck posts!

Without gas, the brown truck would not exist.

Two very good lenses. Had the macro; have the 20mm. You will enjoy them for sure.
