I finally gave up my Pungo 14 last year. I mostly shot with a Nikon 200 - 400 on a DX body. Before getting that lens it was a 70 - 200 F2.8, often with a 1.4x. If I was still paddling it would be with the 200 - 500.

There are all kinds of combinations that work.

People will look at a photo and ask, why did it turn out so poorly. Today as long as you use the proper equipment the rest is shutter speed and a steady camera next proper focus, not the equipment.

Great shot and at water level too. I won'y take out in the water anything I now have.

My long lens is a Sony 70-300 APO G. I don't have a Kayak but here's a recent photo taken with it.
