Newcomer..........
I have a Canon SX50 HS that I purchased about 2 years ago. Is it worth upgrading to the SX60 HS?? I use to have film camera Minolta X-700 with 3-4 lenses. I purchased the Canon so I did not have to buy a bunch of lenses. Can anyone out there give me some pointers on this camera. I am a beginner I guess into digital. I have taken about 2-3 thousand shots. Still want to learn more.

Welcome to UHH I would stick with the SX50 based upon reviews. I had a SX50 and it was a great camera. You learn by being critical of your images and correcting what is wrong.

Yes keep your SX50, as by all accounts the SX60 never reached the heights its predecessor achieved.
I too started with the X700 and then went to the sx50, which I love. I've upgraded to a canon omd. The picture quality is better, I enjoy having to think more before I take a picture. However, I was spoiled with not having to change lenses. Forget about the sx60. Other than some added length, which you can't handhold anyhow, there is no advantage to it
I meant Olympus omd, not canon
