While driving through the monument a Gila Monster crawled right in front of us. We blocked traffic until it was safe in the underbrush

I Live 7 miles away and last week I drove the loop and saw 3 Gila Monsters crossing in a half mile space. At this time of year there is some great great horned owl nests. From Rick Bishop

That would be pretty great to see a Gila Monster.
About how big was the one pictured above?

(Marlynleis1)You may be thinking of my dad Jerold Bishop. Dad taught graphic's at the U of A for 34 years, and my 3 brothers all took art classes there between 1977 and 1991. A lot of peopel say I look just like my dad looked in the past.
