Sony A7Rii file size question?

How large are average A7Rii Raw files in (a) Full Frame and in (b) Crop Mode? Would I have any chance of processing three or four FF files for blending, panorama, stacking etc in Lightroom or ACR on an 8meg RAM laptop? How much RAM would be recommended for that?

• Sony a7RII Compressed RAW are approximately 41 Mb.
• Sony a7RII Uncompressed RAW are approximately 81.6 Mb
Full frame, I don't know about crop mode but I would think about 1/2 of the FF sizes.
You need at least 16M of RAM I would think.

I have 8GB of RAM in my 2012 MacBook Pro. I don't have any problem processing my A7Rii files including those I've blended or merged into panoramas. It just takes longer than it does on my 32GB RAM iMac.

I have no problem processing uncompressed A7R II RAW files on an i7 Lenovo Yoga 900 running Win 10 with 8 MB RAM. Of course 16 or 32 MB would be better but not necessary. I've easy had 100 RAW files open in Lightroom. I've also had over 2000 frame captures from 4K video open with no problems.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I am trying to decide if I should upgrade my A6000 to a A6500 now, or keep saving for a A7Rii in a couple of months. I can handle changing out a couple of my APS-C lenses over time, but if I had to factor in a new computer it would kill my prospects for the A7Rii for the foreseeable future. I think I will try creating a couple of large files and see how my current computer handles them.
