Thanks for the compliment. The river shot involved leaning over a concrete balustrade higher than my waist sideways on tip toes. Intentionally wrapped camera strap around wrist twice just in case. There was nothing but water below the camera.

Thanks for commenting. If you can do it, do it. However, do not come in November. It was a dreadful month. When I mentioned it to the other guys they confirmed it is not a good month to be here, at least in LJ. I think it rained 20 days, oftentimes not the kind of rain for walking with a camera. The fog and mist were sometimes photogenic other times not. There wasn't a lot of snow here. September and October were splendid (I arrived in mid-September), the past month has been beautiful. Haven't experienced summer here yet. Will be here until mid-July so I'll get to experience at least part of it. Slovenia could easily fill up a vacation but you are also close to Venice, Budapest, Vienna and other interesting cities.

At 87 that is good. Just went for walk without camera. Given the weather forecast for the next several days I will go out with it at least once over the weekend. The challenge in central LJ is that there is a very large zone of no cars. Parking is nightmarish in the surrounding area. Keep shooting. I figure if I shoot enough I can spend the last five years of my life in post-processing alone.
