Mini Mediterranean Donkeys

I took these pictures Saturday with a Sony pocket camera that was just given to me by my friend. These were the first pictures I took with it. I took several of these cuties but made a few mistakes. Like missing a shot of the darker one laying down because I didn't press the shutter down firm enough! Or cutting off their ears. Anyway - I hope you enjoy them. I didn't want to leave because they were quite friendly and I couldn't stop petting them!

Very nice set, Cheryl!! Never underestimate a small pocket camera, it did a great job and these are very cute burros... I especially like the closeup on the last shot!

Thanks Angela! That's the one that came right up to me. I could have sat there all day petting him. I was just sorry I didn't have my barn coat on. I usually keep peppermints in my pockets for the horses. I would have been able to give the donkeys one too!

Thanks so much Carol!! They were just too cute. The darker one was letting me pet him a lot. I could definitely take them home with me

I thought they were mini burros but I googled both mini burros and mini donkeys and when I did mini donkeys, a YouTube video came up from the UK with a pair that looked exactly like these so I learned what they were. They were very friendly especially the darker one. I'm sure they were looking for treats which I usually have in my pockets but not this time.Mar 28, 2017 07:22:37 #

what a cute face that little donkey has...love the closeup! i would love to find some donkeys, cows, or horses to shoot.
i've been thinking about getting a small pocket camera to carry around...there are so many to choose from i can't decide.
now i'm finally caught up...keep on shooting!

Thanks Merry!! I will. Lucky me that I didn't have to choose. The choice was made for me! Lots of farms around here - I'm lucky to live here even if its cold sometimes
I need to go and visit the Alpaca farm. Alpaca's are so cute too! There's a big dairy farm right up the street from me too.
