True, on both the good capture and F-22 comments! And the Navy needs a real F-14 replacement, not an upgrade of the loser in the "light weight, low cost fighter" competition. The F-18 is a good silver bullet; but it's not a gold bullet like the F-22. It's a dangerous world and we need to be ready to respond to the threats.

Try to convince congress of the need. They have blinders on to what is going on in the world and they think diplomacy will solve all the problems.

I agree with the philosophy of peace through strength. The most important role of the government is providing for the common defense of the country; everything else is secondary. If we are going to guess high or low on defense, the only responsible thing to do is to guess high to deter aggression.
