Dan, Great Image. I had a farmer friend in Vermont who did it the old fashioned way also, collecting the sap by horses and bringing it to the evaporator. He would let me go out with him. Great experience. He also used his horses for haying.

I know what you mean. I bring real maple syrup with me when we go out for breakfast. I refuse to eat "Breakfast Syrup".

I spent my summers as a small child in west cannan,just outside of Lebanon,My uncle would taps trees during spring .
