I love that pine on Sentinal Dome! I remember it still green & alive in my youth! Then I had my whole family perched in it as an adult after it died. VERY picturesque ! I miss it...I wonder if I can find my pics of it...might be a 35mm slide though.

That picturesque tree has been photographed by Ansel Adams. It was a hard climb to reach the top of Sentinel Dome but worth every step. Even in death it was beautiful. Thanks so much for your nice comment, oldtigger!

I hope you find your slides. I had the pleasure of photographing that wonder on 3 different occasions. I had my slides converted. You probably know this tree was photographed by Ansel Adams. I was sad to learn the elements destroyed it several years ago. If you ever find your slide and convert it, I'd like to see your family perched on it. Thanks for viewing my post and telling me about your memory, Mustanger.

Since these were photographed 8.5X11 pictures, I was pleased with the results. They were originally slides. Thanks for looking, Beercat.

Annie, you did a great job getting these to digital. It is so cool to go back through shots from long ago and relive some of the moments that were captured!

No credit due me. I just took them to a store that has that service. Thanks for viewing these, Carol.

All excellent images... I also remember when one could walk out and touch the lone pine....(#4). Now you need permission from the Big Sur Conservency to even photograph the tree. All they want to sell is their pictures of the tree....fat chance.
Rich...
