It began with 68 teams. Now it is down to the Final Four Teams. The Kentucky/North Carolina game went down to 0.3 seconds. A thriller. North Carolina will play Oregon. And Gonzaga, located in Washington, will play South Carolina. The Northwest vs the Southeast. Coast to coast colleges. It doesn't get any better than that. Who will win it all? This is North Carolina's second consecutive trip to the Final Four. They lost the Championship last year to Villanova.

Last year was a heartbreaker, but we're hoping for a better outcome this year. This time of year, We live NCAA basketball in this part of the world - Duke, UNC, NC State and Wake Forest, all close by. I graduated from NC State in '74 when we won the NCAA championship, but only won one since. Hoping for a better year next year with a new coach.

You're correct. North Carolina is college basketball territory. Who can ever forget NC State Coach, Jim Valvano, in 1983, running around the court, looking for somebody to hug, but couldn't find anyone. The University of Houston bit the dust that day. However, two retired NBA Superstars came from that losing team. North Carolina looks good. Duke will have to watch their rival on TV, once again.

Glendale, AZ. About 9 miles from Downtown Phoenix. National TV Sports Commentatators and Newspapers, say it will be in Phoenix. However, if Glendale wants credit, I'll give it to them. OK.

Yes, NC State - Jim V in 83'!! Nothing better than NCAA BB Tournament. I watched all 8 games of the Sweet Sixteen - thanks to DVR. Loved seeing SC make it to final 4. In the end, I think NC will cut down the net, but who knows. Anything can and usually does happen in the final 4. Enjoy the rest.

Congratulations to the South Carolina Women's Basketball Team. They just made the Final Four. The 2nd time in 3 years. The men's team also made the Final Four. The first ever for the men's team. South Carolina women will play Stanford for a chance to win a Championship. However, the champions will most likely be the Connecticut Huskies. The best women's college basketball teams ever. They now have 3 straight championships. Going for #4. I'll be watching.

We're Duke grads ('73) when they were not so good, while our new son-in-law is a huge Carolina fan! We were at a wedding in Chapel Hill a couple of years ago and got them both pajama bottoms, hers from Duke and his from UNC. Talked to Hubert Davis, UNC assistant coach, for a bit at the wedding reception as his wife is a friend of the bride.

Try to get to games around NYC every year.

As my friend has told me for years. If Duke gets into the NCAA Tournament, never never never (3 times intended) count them out.

Let's not forget John Wooden and UCLA? Duke & NC basketball dynasties? Wooden & UCLA captured 10 championships in a 12 year period. I doubt that will ever be matched.

I remember the great John Wooden and UCLA well. I'm betting you're right about their record not being equaled (but we're working on it here in NC 😎). Go Heels!

I may have to root for SC - super big underdogs. I also like their coach - but Roy W is a class act!

You're correct. John Wooden, even after retirement, had an honorary free seat at the UCLA Basketball Arena, until his passing. He earned that free seat. Wooden was originally from Indiana. Hoosiers Territory. Until his dying day, he still was against dunking the ball in college basketball. Dunking came back in 1976. He had to endure it. I love dunking. Excitement it brings to the game.

Agree on UCLA's dominance. Loved watching them year after year under Wooden. And despite Laettner's heroics against UConn and Kentucky, my favorite NCAA performance was Walton's 44 points against Memphis one year in the final (and Greg Lee's multiple lobs to him at the rim).

Great game! (Oregon vs UNC). Go heels! (Sorry about USC Mark, they played with real heart). Looking forward to UNC vs Zag
