Thanks Corky, It was just a tad overcast, which I love for photography, but it did clear after a couple of hours, just in time for a little lunch in the pub.

I've paddled that many times in my kayak, usually in better weather, but the mood you've captured there is how I more often imagine it.
If you are ever there again, at high tide, look at the little rowing boats in the river. One minute they'll be facing upstream, next down. Impressive demo. of tides.

I will John, although I'm not sure when it will be? I had only been one before, about 10 year back and one of old London Sailing Barges was sailing through the mist, it was so beautiful I wanted to return sometime, so we just popped in last week on our way back from a few days in Suffolk.

I really like the way you've composed this. The bit of light in the upper right seems hopeful in the otherwise grim day.

Thanks for your feedback Vicki, I find there is something much more interseting in the flat days, it seems to force the eye to find something lift the gloom?
