Anyone who lives in Texas, or has visited in the spring, knows how beautiful the bluebonnets are. They are along the highways and out in fields. People stop, all along the interstate to get pictures. Also, if you know Texas you know we have access roads that follow the interstate, so no danger! The cardinals are out too. Not sure if the ones I photographed are a type of cardinal or not, as I am not a bird expert. Hope you enjoy them!

Looks like a Cedar Waxwing in the last picture. Beautiful flowers. Nice to see some color other than white!

Thanks, I wasn't sure. Yes, I am loving the color too. We don't have the white stuff, but I sure have missed the colors!

Very nice pictures. I lived in TX for 20 years and certainly do miss it. The bluebonnets are stunning in the spring!

Nice, so where did you take these. The one around here are being taken over by the weeds and some are going to seed.

Love the Bluebonnets! Traveled TX & OK out of Dallas. Lived there 16 years and looked forward to the Bluebonnets every year. The 1st bird is a Mourning Dove and the 2nd is a Cedar Waxwing.

Thanks for identifying the birds! Yes, I love this time of year in Texas. I am a Georgia girl at heart, lived there most of my life, but have been in Texas for a long time now. Love it here!
