Not much chance for kids to make money mowing lawns either. I can imagine what the runoff is like during a heavy rain!

True about the grass. The Greeks keep their towns pretty clean and those small towns don't have a lot of car traffic so I wouldn'tworry much about run-off!

My point was most of the area is building roofs. In a heavy rain all that water running off the roofs will end up in the few narrow streets and paths. That will be a lot of water in a very limited area; an inch or so of rain might cause some pretty severe flooding.
