Unlike my previous post in this thread,
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-449293-1.html, this was done purely as an exercise. The photo was sent to me by Wayne Palmer,
www.palmermultimedia.com, at my request. He sent me a scanned version, not the original pieces.
The reason was simply to do some restore work. Feel free to add any you might have done. It's always interesting to see other's work.

Are you kidding, Bob? That is amazing. You are obviously very good at doing this, but about how long did it take you? Assume you used photoshop. Did you mainly use cloning?
Thanks, DragonsLady. I appreciate your taking a look and commenting.

Great work!
Hi, Greg. No, not kidding at all. Thanks for the compliment. This one, in particular, didn't take very long at all. Probably 6 hours total, in a few 2 hour sessions. First, was to put each piece on a separate layer, Then move the layers around, sort of like a jigsaw puzzle. Then, a lot of cloning, all in photoshop. This was definitely a skill I didn't know I possessed until I started using Photoshop. Just trying to touch out a dust spot on a print was an almost insurmountable task.
A longer, and more involved one I posted on my site,
http://malarz.com/services/as/index.html . That one was about 2 weeks of 2 to 3 hours a night of work. It was also my very first restoration attempt. It ended up being published in a book on photo restoration and retouching. I also used it as a header photo on another page of my site,
http://malarz.com/services/index.htmlThanks for taking a look and commenting. I appreciate that.
