We are having many ,many gray days here lately, forget Golden or Blue hours...but I heard commotion on the pond so I went down to see. Canada geese were giving this couple a run for their money. The male wasn't backing down but made his mates life miserable with all the noise..then I made a fast move and a GBH flew up out of the marsh nearby. Gosh I had to shoot quickly. I'll have to check that location more often.

Thx for looking Ralph. Spring is in the air and there was a great deal of squabbling going on today. The heron was VERY far away so this was a huge crop.

Love the tongue lashing--a real winner! (And oh, the captions we could write.) But for a quick grab and a "huge crop" the heron's not bad at all. I'm thinking the overcast may have worked in your favor.
