I have to use deer repellent on my fruit trees but even with it they'll get to them so keep that fence up. I love Hosta's as a boarder plant in this area but the deer think I just left out some dessert for them.

Solar powered electric fence outside of the mesh. It won't cause any serious harm but it may stop them after the first touch.

Great idea; I just don't want to hurt them.

Great idea. They work well for horses, so I'm sure deer will get the picture PDQ once their nose touches the wire.

Nice image Julian, and good luck! I noticed that Wayne said he was not familiar with hosta, but know from past experiences that the deer sure are!

it they have a taste for avocados they will find a way. we used to put up an electric fence but stopped doing that.
the deer eat most everything in our yard except marigolds, so that's all i'm planting this spring. hope they haven't
developed a taste for them.

There are no flowers in our yard! The latest suggested deterrent is garlic plants; I understand the hate the smell. Next...
