Went out with my best friend to the south Mission Bay jetty (San Diego, CA) to take some sunset shots. This has also become home to a large number of feral cats. Some folks come out here on a regular basis to feed these cats and catch some of them to be neutered. Once neutered (the ones with a clipped ear) the cats are returned to the jetty to live. The local skunks have figured out there is free food there and are competing with the cats for this bounty. A few shots for you from this evening............chase
Very appealing set of photos. I especially like the second one.

I very much enjoyed this set! I recently came upon a park near Bakersfield that had a very large feral cat community, it really surprised me. Thanks so much for sharing!
Wonderful photos. I especially liked the last one. I hope you took it from a 'safe' distance!
Very nice set. I enjoyed your feral cats. They all look content and cared for even though they are on their own. I have a black and white cat but I'm pleased to say he doesn't much resemble your last shot!
It's the title that caught my eye ... we have the same thing here at our Kakaako Park Oahu at the end of my street.. excluding the skunk ..we feed the little feral cats here as well .at sunset ..,. fun shots ..

Thanks all for taking a look and your nice comments. Yes, we thought it was unusual that the skunks have "invaded" this feral cat colony but I guess they couldn't resist the free food. The cats do seem to show the skunks some respect and seemed to keep them at a safe distance. chase

Very good pictures. One slight suggestion: level you horizons to keep the ocean
from draining out to the left.
