This is not a Ghost Mantis, but I can appreciate the fact that they do resemble each other. This is a stick insect.
The Order for the stick insect is Phasmatodea and the Ghost mantis is Mantodea.

thanks for the comment.I used to have my own darkroom setup and one year in the 70s I taught 5 periods of basic photography because the photo teacher had become a dean and I was the only one who thought they knew enough to teach the basic class (read and researched like a mad man to keep a stream of decent lessons in the pipeline, also the principal changed the class to "The History and Practice of Photography" so my history/geography/social sciences credential would cover it)
But, I have asthma/allergies and the chemical fumes were not my friends. Long live digital and doing the PP in a nice office chair in front of a computer!!!
