He is lucky to have such a good friend.

That's what I'll tell him if he regains consciousness.

wow Jerry, Bee Stings hurt but he must be allergic to them. Usually when Bees come out of the ground it's a different type of Bee not honey Bees. I got stung by one which was a little larger than H B. I was digging out a bush and notice a nest not a Bee Hive. Usually Honey Bees will not bother you unless you bother them. Sorry about your friend hope he gets better.

Sorry, but this was a joke. When the bee landed on his forehead, I slammed it with the shovel. That's what did the damage. But this never happened.

My friend Paul is in the hospital after being stung by a bee, and it's touch and go. I was helping him do some digging in his yard yesterday, and I heard him let out a blood-curdling scream. I turned around and saw a bee right in the middle of his forehead. Thinking fast, I swung my shovel as hard as I could and killed that bee. I may have been too late, though, because he dropped to the ground and lay there unconscious. Boy, he's so lucky I was there to call 911.
My friend Paul is in the hospital after being stun... (show quote)

You will always be welcome in my yard for some digging!

I need a new shovel, though. My friend Paul damaged mine.

I'm so glad you were there for him. Heaven knows what would have happened to him if you hadn't been there to rescue him from that bee!

Thanks for the laugh this morning. My dad is highly allergic to bee stings, so maybe I should keep a shovel handy also! He is still getting in the ring and boxing at 77 years old though, so he is probably used to getting hit in the head. He made it into one of the Ripley's Believe It or Not books a few years ago.
