Why do these posts always have to turn into a " mine is bigger than" yours type of bickering?
Who really cares if you have manual or automatic transmission or what kind of computers you used back in the 70s or 80s.
Would be nice to stay on the topic of the OP's original post instead of wandering way out into left field.

To be Fair, I'm not the one who pi$$ed in anyone's Wheaties, Ironically, I was in support of learning photography in MANUAL mode. But somehow I'm unskilled/lazy based on my preference of a car that, in some infidel blasphemy has an AUTOMATIC transmission, some "purists" havta take their choice to "religious" levels. If said "purists" are true to what they perceive as the "art", They would, out of hand reject ANY progress.

I usually use a knife, fork or spoon to eat with. Sometimes chop sticks. Every now and again I use my fingers but am equally dextrous with both hands.

As for driving you know nothing about my situation and so are completely and utterly unqualified to comment.

If you still don't comprehend the problem that you created then I hope I never happen to be near you when you are in control of a vehicle.

I just asked what hand , , both hands would have been sufficient answer , I rest my case

For me I started out both with manual camera and manual transmission car. I think manual camera is easy but manual transmission is quite a hurdle for me. So because of my own experience I recommend beginner to use manual camera but not car with manual transmission.

It's a personal choice, I have no problem with that. IBM tried to tell me how to behave or that I would learn the benefits of auto transmissions, so I told him to put his opinions where the Sun don't shine. I've probably driven more miles in automatic vehicles than IBM has, but I still maintain the right to choose. As, of course do you good, Sir.

Tokyo isn't in the data that I have seen, but I completely believe you. Tokyo is an interesting city to visit, although I have just used public transport. I just don't find using a stick shift to be a problem regardless of the situation, and an advantage in many situations.

ALL I did here was say , that one day you will will turn to a auto trans . When you have been around longer , and now she goes into a rant .
Good God it's all opinions, why freak out , if you follow this you will see its her confused way of taking things that are said way out of proportion,

Apparently you can't even read or comprehend what you have written yourself.

"Well you will go to a auto trans. when you do a little more growing , if you drive in a town with a lot of cars and rush hours , YOU will get tired of riding the clutch with your left foot in rush hour sooner or later"

And also I recommend that you learn a little spelling, grammar, and command of the English language.

Now go back to bed and drink your milk, like a good little boy.

If you notice , you will go to auto , when you get a little older , it's not telling you to , its a opinion, you will go to the store , you will buy that
Hat , notice the difference , than telling you as , go to the store and buy a hat , go and jump in the lake ,

You clearly do not understand. No apologies, but your relationship to facts is dysfunctional. You can make predictions about populations, even about your own preferences, but not about other specific individuals when you know nothing about them. You are just digging your hole deeper. You made a mistake and now are trying to defend it, while apparently attempting to make ineffectual insults. Your statements do not pass basic fact checking.

For example your first statement was "And I am pretty sure that 99 per cent of the cars on that road are automatic transmission , not counting 16 wheelers." which is demonstrably incorrect. You might be pretty sure, but you would be completely wrong: http://www.statista.com/statistics/204123/transmission-type-market-share-in-automobile-production-worldwide/

Then you made a prediction about me: "Well you will go to a auto trans. when you do a little more growing , if you drive in a town with a lot of cars and rush hours , YOU will get tired of riding the clutch with your left foot in rush hour sooner or later ," which included an implied insult and an entirely indefensible thesis.

And yet you still try to say "ALL I did say..." to excuse yourself. I'm sorry if you still fail to understand basic etiquette, but don't try the "Mommy he hit me back!" routine. Just go away.

As is your grammar, that should be you're. Keep digging, it just gets deeper. I may have tweaked you a little bit, but what basis do you have to support your statement that I am wrong in most things? How could you know that? Unless you can defend your somewhat outrageous statements it might be time to back down.

Perhaps you should start by defining "most things".

I don't know much about Peter but I think if he didn't switch to auto trans by now I probably never will.

You probably read me quite well, Bebu! At least in this situation!

That doesn't mean I'm a Luddite or against progress in any way. I earn my living in high tech and startups, but I exercise my own personal preferences. Others are free to choose their own paths.

IBM, I'm done with your self-delusional rants and opinions. Keep them to yourself. You truly have no idea, you cannot defend your position, and you just have no idea what you are talking about as it affects other people except from your own tiny, narrow minded perspective. You are free to make your own choices but don't tell other people how to live their lives or what choices to make.

I guess you just live in such a small world that you consider other people's circumstances to be just like your own. You are the one that began this little exchange, and if you continue you will lose it.

Also, please learn how to use the English language and how to spell properly. You have no basis for criticizing or advising others in situations like this.
