I have lived close to Garden of the Gods for years. This is one of the nicest photographs of the area I have seen. Well done.

Wow, thank you! The Springs, and especially the Garden see a large number of people. I don't get the opportunity to venture into the park very often, but I do enjoy it. Lots to see and do in Colorado! thanks for the comment!

Very nice image and glad you told the story of the Ute's. We have prayer trees around this area that were shaped by the Ute's on their travels. You might be interested in them.
I'm a Colorado native, and have always been interested in our history. It seems the Ute's and other tribes had a pretty good thing going, until the Spaniards, the conquistadors, monks, the civil war, and the search for gold (and silver). Lots of interesting stuff. thanks for the comment!
Love the composition, but don't like the HDR.

Thanks! But it's not HDR. Single shot - Raw.

Sorry, my mistake. It looked like an HDR.

Not a problem. Thanks for looking!
Nice picture. Years ago I took my two daughters 6 &7 years old to the garden of the gods. Anyway we were walking on a trail and the girls ran ahead of me about half a block. I yelled at them to stop so I could catch up. They got to playing with a bush and laughing at the bush. When I got to them I asked whats so funny. They said the bush makes noise. My youngest puts her hand by the bush and yep there was a rattlesnake in there. I grabbed the kids and left promptly. The Garden Gods smiled on us that day. We had a great vacation nobody got hurt
