How vowels change the meaning...

trAmp: How he values women?

tREMp: His reality based on dreams?

trImp: Behaving like a monkey?

trOmp: Walking on common decency.

trUmp: Drumpf concealed.

trYmp: trying to be presidential and convincing almost half the nation.

I find him amusing and I have been wrong about him from the beginning. "He'll never win. The Electoral College will invalidate his Presidency. He'll quit before the Inauguration. He'll never finish his term. He'll never get a second term."

lol... I am obviously out of touch with the pulse of the nation, but that doesn't mean what he is doing is okay. Even if so many agree with him, that does not make it right. 4 years, 8 years, it will end eventually, but he is only part of the obstacles to my hopes for the nation. There are Governors, state legislatures, Senators and Representatives that need to be replace with statesmen/women that put their politically affiliations behind the needs of the nation.

You are right. But lets face it he was running against Hillary. Anybody but anybody could have beat her.

Wait! You've found a politician that puts the needs of their constituents before the needs of their respective party or donors or lobbyists? Is this some sort of mythical creature?

We live in dangerous times. Reverend Al is a hatemonger for the right price. Rev Jesse Jackson walked in the shadow of MLK but he's been chasing the almighty dollar for decades. Even Bernie is a sellout. Didn't he close on a cushy vaca spot just a day or two after losing the nomination?

The angst you feel about DT is the same that half of America feels about all the other entrenched clowns. The ones that have been entrusted to be "servants of the people" but have pursued personal gain instead. Find the pols that have been in office for more than 6 years that are not millionaires. Let me know just how many you find. I bet it's less than 15%.

I am fortunate to live in Massachusetts where we have 2 sterling(sarcasm font) senators in Warren and Markey. Markey's only other job was selling ice cream. He's been in DC since 1972. He's originally from Malden, MA but he actually lives in Maryland. He's got a sweet multi-million dollar estate there. Not bad for a government servant. He comes back to MA for his required 2 weeks per year. http://www.americarisingpac.org/markeys-last-real-job/

Warren is a piece of work. She's a millionaire that trashes "millionaires and billionaires" at every available opportunity. She has not delivered on one campaign promise and is more interested in grandstanding than doing her job. Don't even get me started on the fake indian thing. I suppose that she self-identifies as a Cherokee and for some on the Left that's probably enough.

I am especially lucky because my district is represented by a Kennedy. He was elected because,..... well,..... Kennedy! He's been busy working to remove "offensive" language from government documents like "illegal" and "alien". So glad he's on the job!

Hondo,

I guess you are old enough, like me to remember a time when each party had Liberals & Conservative within both parties. Nowadays, it seems the two parties are restricted to: Dem= Radical Liberals, Liberals & Moderates, GOP= Radical Conservatives, Conservatives and Moderates. The Moderate overlap in each party number so few that compromise seems unlikely on the issues of the day. Both sides put dogma above compromise. Open discussion of the issue and proposed legislation seems to be replaced by accusations of the lunacy of the other side. If they respect each other, it does not show by they ability to legislate. It shows only in their agreement to avoid doing anything for fear of putting a target on their back. The political party system has outlived its usefulness.

This is where you and I disagree.

Sure, there are liberals and conservatives. But are there 2 parties? Is there really any difference between them? Ask yourself a few simple questions.

Who funds them?
Whom do they serve?

It sure as hell isn't the constituents in either case.

Don't you find it odd that we've had very brief periods of time where the WH and both houses of Congress have the majority of the same party?

Hondo,
I do not think we disagree. I say we have two parties, certainly in name and stated goals, but we agree that they are funded in many cases by the same people, trying or succeeding in having influence on them. The results of their actions do lead one to believe that politicians 'serve' their own interests. As for oddities, they abound.

It is my suggestion that POTUS has proven that one may win without being beholden to a political party. Even Bernie that joined the DNC for the presidency was previously an independant. To me, imho, we are seeing the demise of the two party system in name and actuality. POTUS beat 16 GOP potential candidates that were thoroughly Republicans. Hillary was the entrenched Democrat.

Hey Hondo, I can't post on your threads or send you a PM as you have me blocked, so I will say it here. Publishing false and serious accusations of criminal behavior constitutes defamation, making you liable for civil penalties. You published a libelous accusation against me earlier today:

"Keenan admits to being pedophile"
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-449003-1.html

This is crossing the line. Here's what you need to do to resolve this matter to avoid civil action against you:

1) Immediately contact the admin and request that the thread be deleted
2) Post an apology and an admission that the accusation is completely false

So you don't think that libel and defamation is crossing the line? How can you defend such behavior? You reveal much about your character and (lack of) maturity.

Oh, so I misinterpreted your "Whine on" response? If so, why not just tell us what you meant by that comment, if it didn't mean what most folks would logically interpret as meaning that I have nothing to complain about, or that Hondo's behavior is acceptable and I should let it go? Simple question. Did Hondo cross the line or not? Let's see if you can actually be an adult and not evade this time...

Why don't you quit your childish games (and your juvenile repetitive "Cupcakes" name calling) for once? Grow up, man-child troll, and quit making such a complete ass of yourself every day. Nobody but the most immature trolls here is impressed with such behavior.

My comment was about you, not Hondo's comment.

You like things being about you, right.

Thats why you felt the need to dump your whine, which is totally unrelated to Art's OP, onto his thread, right?

Don't you also routinely whine about people hijacking threads....hhmmmm.

Evasion. Exactly what I expected. It was a simple question. I knew you would evade and refuse to answer it, because then you would have to admit that you trolled me with yet another fake accusation that I "put words in your mouth". Obviously my interpretation was reasonable.

You also reveal your utter hypocrisy yet again, complaining that I hijacked a thread, even though you are the King of Thread Hijacking, having hijacked over 500+ threads with your first strike repetitive off-topic childish "Cupcakes" name calling.

You just can't ever stop making a complete ass out of yourself daily, and revealing your true purpose, which is to be a childish troll, can you? No surprise. Again. Some people will apparently never grow up.
