This was taken at the height of the drought in 2015 along the shore of Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. I call it "Floating on the Mellow Yellow".

...is that some kind of chemical residue? Manmade or natural? Doesn't Tahoe have a ton of regulations for what goes in there? Haha, that looks like the Salton Sea a bit!

Certainly not man made. I think it was an algae bloom since the lake level was low and the water temperature higher than normal.
