Not sure what the correct name is for this lizard but always called them Rusty Lizard. When first seen him 3 years ago he was maybe 1 1/2 inches long. He first stayed in shop then last spring he moved in the boat storage room and about that same time something got his tail. It might a been a road runner as we have one of them. As you can see his tail is growing back. Today he showed up for first time on my deck and just found a warm spot and spread out an did not move while I got my camera and took several photos. It was cool this morning as had a good rain last night after a high yesterday of 99 but 69 this morning.
Just streching out
Like my new tail ?

Yes these lizards are neat. They spend most of their life on the sides of large trees eating bugs they find. They sometimes get maybe 10 inches long and live to be several years old.
Lot different than the lizards we get here in Florida...Neat looking :-D :-D
Lot different than the one's we have in Illinois, too. The ones we have we nickname "politicians" and the leader of them we call "governor". We put most of the governors in jail.
I wish we had your kind of lizards.
Have a few of these guys runing around my deck and trees, also. Been trying to figure out what kind they are. Also see a lot of Geicos (Geckos).

We have at least 3 other types . One is a recluse staying mostly under leaves and etc. Looks more like a small snake but has tiny legs that are so small they are hard to see.
