Very beautiful and excellently captured set!

I hope these photos exemplify the beauty we have seen during our three month stay at Bentsen Palm RV Resort near Mission, Texas. I believe every photo in this series was taken within a 5 mile radius of our motorhome. The Local People and Winter Texans in the valley make it all the better place to spend the winter!

The photo of the unknown butterfly in the shot you love is absolutely outstanding! Interesting photo of the rare bird as well -- haven't seen that one before. All photos are very nice indeed.

No arguments from me on the "Unknown Butterfly but I love the shot".

I like the one you 'love'. The yellow/orange butterfly. The download makes it really pop. Nice going. All great pics.

Really like your photos. The unidentified one on the silver-leafed plant really is great. The white butterfly is probably in the Sulphur clan. Possibly it is a Florida White but most I.D. pics show those with fewer spots than yours has.

We were just there at Bentsen Rio Grande Park a few weeks ago. I just saw the edge of the motor home park but it looked like a nice place to stay. If I spent the winter there like you, I'd have a bicycle and go for a ride in the park every morning. What a way to wake up that would be. They had the best bird blinds and feeding stations of anyplace we went. And we went to quite a few parks down there along the border. If I get my photos all post-processed, I'll have to post some. I just put a few Whooping Cranes on the Birds in Flight forum. But the most colorful birds by far were down where you stayed.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Sorry I am late responding. We left the Rio Grande Valley after posting and we have been without internet most of the time since leaving. We are still in Texas but our travels have taught us there are a lot of very remote areas in Texas!

I think I may have posted this one to the wrong thread? Sorry.
