A few more Eagles

The adult Eagle dropped this fish in mid-air and I watched 2 young Eagles go after it and one of them caught it.
I don't know much about their behavior as we don't get many around here. Is that some sort of teaching thing for the young ones?
It was unbelievable to watch......I didn't get a pic of that!

Nice shots BobinSDakota. And it is a teaching method. I've seen them do that same thing here so the young ones go after it. Fun to watch as they teach and the young ones learn.

Bob, more than a great photo, this one deserves a wall for itself. Only my opinion, but the photo has it all.

Hi Bobbin...what an awesome capture!! Eagles are opportunists...they would much rather get their dinner from another source than actually catching it for themselves. Why I don't know...because it looks like more work than if they just did their own fishing 😂
