Having used both, I'm not at all sure why one would want to make that move.
We use both in our family. There will never be a compromise.

In the article, he states "When it comes to RAM and drive space, I’ll give you the same advice I give all my friends: Buy as much as you can afford."
He's wrong.
You should buy much more than you can afford. You'll need it later.
I used a pc in my office for years and struggled with it and then discovered Mac. I will never return
I agree, I'm enjoying the huge variety of options, hardward, software and peripherals available.
I first got involved with computers way back when with a Texas Instuments TI-99-4A and a Tandy RL1000, even before Windows 3.0. When the competition between Windows and Macs started up, I looked at both of them. What I found at places like CompUSA and others was that the software available for Windows took up like three or four shelves whereas the software for Macs was about a half a shelf. So I opted for Windows, my first being 3.1. Later on, when I thought about converting, Macs got to be so expensive I couldn't afford one, several times more than a comparable PC.
The only experience I have had with Macs is with my two sisters machines when they asked for my help because they had problems with them and couldn't figure out what was going on. A lot of the time I couldn't figure it out either. Macs aren't as intuitive as I was led to believe.
All the problems that Mac users say I have with my PC I haven't experienced. Maybe I have just been lucky.
You forgot to mention Xanax and PROZAC.
All I can say is, I have them both. Macbook pro and Windows 10 desktop. When I want something that boots fast, Mac it is. But when I want something
easy to use, it's Windows every time.
I currently own a windows laptop with Windows 10, MacBook Pro and an iMac27. I also started way back with CPM (an Osborne 5 1/4 single sided floppy). I loved that Osborne for it was really very simple and CPM was a great OS. Went to Windows and stayed with Windows through 2007. Primarily because of the programs. Well, Apple kept on getting better and cheaper (in price). I was able to use all the programs I needed and the quality of graphics was even better. I have had more problems with windows and had more "blue" screens with Windows and none with my Apple computers.
Here is a link to Trey Ratcliff's website regarding his switch form Mac back to PC and his reasons why. From reading his article, it sounds like Apple is not innovating as much anymore and PC's are getting better in his opinion. Everyone has their opinions and likes what works best for them. I guess he feels Mac's are not up to snuff anymore. Myself, I am a PC user that has tried Mac, but not liked it.

We used Mac for a few years, but I really really missed the right mouse button. Jobs wanted to simplify all decisions, but I embrace that "complexity".
