I have encountered a weird phenomenon on my Dell 17R 7720 laptop - I get no audio when I play YouTube videos. Everything is fine if I play a Facebook video, for example, but when I play a YouTube video the video is fine but I get no audio from the feed. The audio had been working fine up until a few days ago when for some reason the YouTube audio just stopped working. The only thing I can think of as a possible cause is I downloaded and used a Win 10 privacy app OOSU10.exe from the Kim Kommado website recommendation somewhere in this same timeframe. Is it possible that something I changed in one of my privacy settings would block audio from YouTube but not from Facebook? Of course I don't recall specifically I changed with OOSU10 but looking at it I don't immediately see anything that looks like it would affect an audio feed.

I had a audio problem after I downloaded a Sigma Pro Photo App. I decided I needed the audio more than I needed another photo app, so everything was fine as soon as I uninstalled the Sigma application There is a little icon at the bottom right of my windows 10 screen. If you click that it should tell you what speaker setup you are using. I also have a Dell laptop and use external speakers.

My problem, identified and solved by my son, was really quite basic. YouTube has its own "mute" button on the left bottom of the screen, to the right of the "Pause/Play" button. I must have inadvertently hit the YouTube Mute button when I was reaching for the Pause/Play button. Once I hit Un-Mute everything was fine.
