After enjoying the newsletter for a few weeks now I thought it about time to join the activity. At any rate, it hasn't been a long winter here in New England but it just won't go away. Two photos attached attest to the lingering cold and weather. Were taken in Newport this past Friday...just a preview, apparently of what's to arrive Tuesday.

We have had one day of warm sunlight this week that has brought out the spring flowers and 3 days of mist and fog....so Spring is definitely here. (No snow in the South of the UK this year and not so much flooding as in recent years either) Ooops now it will rain for a week!!

Welcome! Absolutely love Newport. Spent 2 years there in the Navy in 1968-1970. Had a daughter born at the Naval hospital.
