Lovely! How does one shoot into the sun and not get flare or burn out? Filters? Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Islandgal! When the sun is low in the sky (like these photos), as long as you control the light entering the camera (ie: through fstop and ISO), you don't need a filter. These were all taken without a filter.

So I step down the f stop. Funny, the other day I read that shooting into the sun wasn't recommended for the health of one's sensor? I hadn't read or heard this before!

Those are Great pictures!! I've always loved Sunsets! You have a good Camera outfit!! As the saying goes - "I'm riding off into the Sunset on Sea of time!" As one man said - when the Sun went over the horizon, it took my Heart with it. I stayed awake all night worrying that I'd never see it again until the next morning, "Then it Dawned on Me!!" Keep up the good work, maybe you'll get a burst of morning glory from that same Sun!!!

Very nice shots. I first thought your title was "Macro Sunsets." That really aroused my curiosity. You've got me thinking about a new approach to the subject.
